Our internal review process involves a rigorous assessment of innovative directions in breast cancer research in need of seed funding. Our approach is unique. It is driven by our passion for precision oncology. Collectively and collaboratively, we advance the prevention, understanding and treatment of breast cancer towards our ultimate goal: prevention and cure.
Grant invitations will be shared on this page. Researchers, scientists and investigators are encouraged to visit this page for updates.
Patient Reported Outcomes
Breast Cancer Canada is inviting breast cancer patients across Canada to participate in new research that can help change treatment and policy through our new PROgress research initiative.
There is increasing interest to capture Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) to enhance clinical care. Regular monitoring of patients using PROs improves patient-clinician communication, symptom management, patient satisfaction, quality of life, and overall survival.
Precision oncology is the future of cancer therapeutics. The best patient treatment is supported by patients themselves and PROs give insight into how patients see health and treatment effects and how treatments impact outcomes. This information helps to set the best practices for each type and stage of breast cancer.
PROgress is the largest of its kind research initiative being conducted in Canada and Breast Cancer Canada is proud to be leading the way.
To participate, contact our Regional Hub.
When you support Breast Cancer Canada, you are helping to improve and save lives through better treatments and early detection of breast cancer.
The more money we raise, the sooner we can end breast cancer. Join us on our mission to end breast cancer by becoming a volunteer.
